Philly Loves Ukraine Benefit Concert - Friday, 4/8/22

Hello!

We've been busy booking spring and summer dates, prepping new singles - get ready for "Sails Up" in May - and, at exceedingly long last, finalizing The Cosmic Trilogy EP with Oolala. But let's put all that on hold for a moment...

While it is spring and we are (maybe) moving past the pandemic, the situation in Ukraine has definitely dampered our outlook. A few weeks ago, we were contacted by Philly Stands With Ukraine about playing a benefit concert, and we invited our favorite local choir Sing Slavic to join us. Philly Stands With Ukraine was tremendous in organizing this event with such urgency and it's happening this week.

Friday, April 8th, at the Rotunda (40th and Walnut), 7-9pm.

Sing Slavic will open the concert at 7 and we'll close it out starting at 8. Please consider joining us. Pre-ordering tickets is recommended as it may sell out.

And if you'd like to see our promo video for the event (and hear a preview of a new WPO song), click here. That's it for now. Stay tuned.

XOXO,

WPO

Dearest creatures of the night, loyal dance scholars, and certified groove romantics, Time does its thing, and here we are at the end of another year. These are strange and terrifying times. But we've made it through with technologies both elemental and eternal: driving drums, wailing horns, bass rattling your ribs, sweaty humans united in purpose, locked into a groove. So of course, we’re doing it again New Year’s Eve Wednesday, December 31 – Black Squirrel Club (Fishtown) 1049 Sarah St •...
